Watch This Video for Your Quick, Kick-Ass Copy and Content Creation Tip!
If you’re going to devote your time and energy to writing blog posts, articles, and other marketing content, you want to be sure people read it, right?
Well, today’s Quick Tip will help you make your content a lot more appealing and inviting without sacrificing the heart and soul of your message.
Break it up, baby!
Don’t format your copy into long, thick, dense blocks of words! Even if you’re like me and you tend to write long posts chock-full of tips and information, you need to break up all that copy so it appeals to the eye as well as the mind!
Remember, white space is your best friend! You want lots of white space to surround your body copy, headlines, subheads and bullets. After all, you want to communicate, not intimidate.
Also, when you break it up, you create a piece that is easily scannable, so your reader can skip quickly from one section to another without having to read every single word. Sorry, but the truth is, most people online want their information in easily digestible soundbites. Creating a scannable post or page will allow them to quickly get what they need before they bounce off to other things.
Here are some tips to help you break up those big, thick blocks of content and copy
- Write in 2-3 line paragraphs.
- Create bulleted lists, leaving space between each point.
- Use sub-headers that summarize or lead into the gist of each section.
- Use bold and italics for emphasis and to tease the eye!
