Watch this video whenever you feel jealous of another entrepreneur.

What happens to you when you see another entrepreneur or colleague do something you’ve always wanted to do?
Or get something you’ve always wanted to have?
Maybe she created a new offer that is so similar to the one you’ve been thinking about (but you haven’t gotten around to launching it yet).
Or she just released her new book, and it’ got a killer-good title. And she’s selling a bazillon copies on Amazon everyday.
Or maybe her business seems to be taking the world by storm… while you feel as if you’re hidden in a fallout shelter, waiting for a sunny day.
So what happens?
Do you seethe with jealousy?
Do you get a bit annoyed, or even angry?
Do you collapse in a puddle of self-pity, whining, “why her and not me?”
Oh, it’s so easy to feel jealous, even resentful, when you see others in your field get what you want.
In fact, just a few weeks ago, I, too, was attacked by the green-eyed monster when some perky, inexperienced, 20-something took decisive action, created a killer offer – an offer I could have easily created, but didn’t – and, as a result, got over 200 people (all of whom fit my ideal client profile) to invest in her services. In about 48 hours time.
She did an amazing job, got an amazing response, and I could have dug my eyes out with a spoon!
I was so stinkin’ jealous. And angry. Angry with myself for sitting on my hands and not taking the same kind of creative, inspired action that she did.
But even though jealousy feels really crappy, and it’s such an undeniable symptom of poverty thinking (“she gets to have and I don’t”), it can be such a gift. A true friend and an uncompromising coach… if you listen to what your jealousy is trying to tell you.
Your jealousy is trying to tell you, “Kick your ass into gear, my dear. It’s time to stop whining and start having what you want. Now!” (Uh huh, that’s tweetable! Click here to tweet it now.)
Let your jealousy light a big bonfire under your butt and illuminate this truth, that it’s time to make your goals and dreams real. Stop waiting for some sign to fall from heaven. Your jealousy IS your sign. Get to it. Go do it .
That’s what I did, and I tell you, I haven’t felt this inspired in a long time. I let my jealousy be my psychic green energy drink; I used it to fuel my desire and determination to go for what I want now. Not next week. Now.
That’s the other cool think about jealousy. It’s timing is impeccable. Because more often than not, we only get jealous when we’ve been holding ourselves back in some way. It flares up when the bigger, wiser part of us knows we’ve been making too many excuses, settling for just a little when we want a lot.
So, the next time you feel that green-eyed monster pays you a visit, pay attention. Throw a tantrum if you must. But then, listen. What’s your jealousy trying to tell you? What is it you want that you’re not letting yourself have?
Turn your jealousy into the inspiration you need to go for what you want.
So, get to it. Go do it.
But before you do, tell me, when was the last time you felt jealous of another entrepreneur? What did you do with that jealousy? Did you throw a fit, sulk for a week and feel defeated? Then what? What happened next? Tell me by leaving a comment below.
