On this special episode of Tough Love Tuesday, I give you the secret ingredient to writing emails that work: YOU!
As you may have noticed, I’ve been giving you lots of tips on how to write autoresponders that rock, so I thought I’d zero in on your email today.
Because honestly, sometimes I receive emails that read as if they’ve been written by a machine! There is no personality, no energy, no umph… and nothing of interest in these limp, boring messages. And I don’t want your emails to sound like those!
So, make sure there’s a lot of YOU in your email. In fact, your emails should feel as if you’re writing a quick note to a friend to offer a piece of information or a message a friend would find helpful. Casual-like, friendly-like.
Have you heard that old copywriting rule: Write like you talk? Well, it’s a good rule! Just be sure to write like YOU talk, not like someone else.
Just the other day I was telling a friend that every solo entrepreneur’s USP (unique selling position) is Who They Are. You being you gives you the edge. It separates you from the pack.
So be sure to be YOU in your emails. Nobody else but you.
And if you’re interested in learning more about how to write emails that rock, emails that get opened and devoured hungerly by your ideal clients, let me know by making a comment below. I’m considering offering an intensive email teleseminar… if you’d be interested.
