Do you know what your clients want and need?
Do you know what’s bugging them, what they worry about, what they think about all the time?
Last week on Tough Love Tuesday, we talked about how to connect with your ideal clients by talking to them in their own language, by using the words and phrases they use all the time. Well, this week I’m giving you some tips on how you can find out what your clients, or potential clients, really need and want, what they think about, worry about, get upset about, feel passionately about.
Why is this important?
Because if you don’t know what’s bugging them, how can you know the best way to help them? How can you address those needs and wants when you’re communicating with them if you don’t know what they are?
For years and years and years as a copywriting, marketer and public relations expert, I’ve had it drilled into me… that you have to know your client’s pain AND you have to provide a solution or salve to that pain, or your marketing message will suck. And while that may sound pretty harsh, it’s also true.
Think about it. Why would anyone want to read or listen to something that doesn’t help or uplift them in any way?
So, how can YOU know what your clients really need and want? How can you find out what’s bugging them so you can create solutions, answers or at least a really good distraction (just kidding!) for them?
In today’s video, I give you three ways to find out what your clients need and want.
One way is to invite them to be “interviewed” via a survey!
